@rosellestrettonartist
Roselle is a South Coast visual artist and a Woollamia local, having lived in the Shoalhaven since immigrating some 25 plus years ago! Growing up in Jersey, the Channel Islands she has always had a coastal connection and now finds herself living surrounded by beautiful beaches and bush that all provide abundant inspiration for her work! Particularly life on the creek!
She has always been involved and participated in creative arts all the while navigating a family, nursing career and for the past ten years, running her own holiday rental business.
Over the years Roselle has endeavoured to find time to pursue her creative talents for her own pleasure and even undertaken commissioned work. Previous entrant to Meroogal/ JBBA @ See Change and The Shoalhaven Arts Society exhibitions. She has had several joint and solo shows both locally and in Sydney. Roselle currently works mostly with acrylics and newly discovered water colour, however, loves collage and enjoys working in many mediums. She also produces sewn household items such as table and kitchen ware.
Roselle studied fine arts at TAFE and continues to develop her genre and is open to learn and observe the world around her and beyond. She enjoys experimenting in various mediums and styles but is particularly fond of painting and drawing sea creatures and native florals.
Now retired, you will find Roselle in her Creekside studio most days as she pursues her journey as an artist. Aiming to produce work that equally passes on the joy she finds in her own creativity to others ,she will happily create a piece for your home!
Currently exhibiting at Jervis Bay Shellfish market’s Gallery Wall. , Woollamia, and Muir House Gallery Berry.
